Chevo Consulting is currently hiring an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our expanding practice.
 
Job Description
:
Chevo Consulting LLC is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Desktop Support Specialist. This position reports to the IT Administrator and provides tier 1 and 2 help-desk support as well as some network administration tasks. Duties will include configuration, troubleshooting, training and remote support. This is a full time salaried position that will require occasional off hours support. Examples of daily tasks include:

  • Resolving end user support requests
  • Monitoring server events
  • Deploying applications and updates
  • Creating scripts to automate administration
  • Configuring system builds for deployment

    • Basic programming skills such as asp.net, vbscripting, SQL  & Office macros
    • Experience with Microsoft servers, Exchange, SharePoint, IIS, SQL
    • Experience with Symantec Backup Exec 
    • Experience with Enterprise Anti Virus software 
    • Experience with disk imaging 
    • WLAN experience
    • No degree is required for this position but a degree in an information systems field or equivalent IT certifications are preferred

    Desired Certifications:

    • A+
    • Network+
    • Security +
    • MCP/MCSA/MCTS/MCITP


    Required Skills:

    • 3+ Years of experience resolving tickets at the Tier 1 or Tier 2 level
    • 3+ Years of information systems work experience
    • 3+ Years of experience with Microsoft Windows
    • 1+ Years of experience with SharePoint
    • 3+ Years of IT hardware configuration, upgrade, maintenance, and troubleshooting
    • 2+ Active Directory, management & troubleshooting
    • 2+ Years of experience with LAN Networking, TCP/IP, DHCP, & DNS
