Customer Service Technician - Equipment Support
Randstad USA, a world-wide leader in the Staffing and Recruiting Industry, is hiring for our client, a global manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, brand-name products for consumers throughout the world. They are looking for a Customer Service Technician for a 4 month project. This position is located in their Corporate Downers Grove, IL location.
This person will be handling incoming calls from existing corporate customers troubleshooting coffee making equipment. You will be the technical expert on the coffee equipment operation and function. You will be tasked with reducing the number of dispatched service calls by following up with customers, prior to dispatch, to determine if the customer's issue can be fixed over the phone. The goal is to reduce associated costs.
Duties Include:
-Monitoring the call dispatch application to identify calls that would be dispatched to a third party service company, from a given geographical area, and on specific machine models.
Working hours: 40
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
-3 - 5 years technical helpdesk* with strong customer service experience
-Experience troubleshooting equipment issues over the phone prior to dispatching technicians to the site
-Problem solving skills
-Professional demeanor
**This is not an IT position but more focused on customer support.
Pay Rate:
-$17.00 - 19.00 per hour
This is a temporary position lasting 4 months
