Takeda Oncology is searching for a collaborative, detail oriented team member for a highly visible role on a growing brand. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of Incentive Compensation, Field Sales Alignments and Field Support for the Hematology Sales team within the US. The successful candidate will serve as a change agent, bringing new ideas to complex problems and redefining how the Decision Sciences team partners with key stakeholders and delivers evidence-based business solutions.

This role oversees departmental processes to ensure compliance with Legal, Finance, and Regulatory, and manages overall department processes for vendor identification, selection of innovative new methodologies/vendors, agency on-boarding and identification and resolution of outsourcing service issues.

The incumbent in this role will be a subject matter expert in Incentive Compensation, Territory alignments and field sales analytics. This position must possess the ability to work closely with all levels of the US Oncology field sales leadership and must be able to effectively deliver results even when going against popular opinions, always working to build solutions that are best for the business.


  • Incentive Compensation

    • Evaluate, design, and implement effective and motivational incentive plans for a growing brand

    • Timely facilitation of the Incentive Compensation Plan process, committee charter and plan documents

    • Develop appropriate attainment and subnational performance trackers

    • Assist with development and rollout of Incentive Compensation Plan training

  • Field Operations

    • Collaborate with field sales leadership to support direction and execution of business strategy, e.g. territory level performance to understand early and lagging adopters

    • Guide targeting and alignment efforts

    • Function as a strategic business partner to broader Business Insights and commercial teams, partnering to uncover prescriber trends at territory level and working across the team to determine if the subnational trends translate to broader patient and/or prescriber drivers/barriers to adoption

    • Partner across the Business Insights team to ensure smooth and efficient operations

    • Develops/refines processes, where needed, to achieve greater sales reporting/tracking consistency and efficiency

    • Conduct adhoc analysis as needed

    • Impart best practices, innovation, project management and operational excellence in subject area

  • Field Insights

    • Articulate and present updates on field performance to senior leaders

    • Proactively identify opportunities & threats through territory and regional level insights generation

    • Timely support of field sales inquiries related to their territory data, incentive compensation or reporting tools

  • Adheres to departmental policies and procedures, compliance guidelines and confidentiality  


Education and Experience:


  • BA or BS degree required
  • 3+ years’ related experience in marketing sciences, sales operations and/or finance
  • 2+ years’ experience in the bio/pharmaceutical or related field with direct responsibilities in Incentive Comp and/or Sales Operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 
  • Deep expertise in generating commercial insights from large transactional data sets (e.g. IMS, Symphony Specialty Pharmacy, GPO, etc)
  • Experience communicating complex issues in a simple way and orchestrating plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks

  • Demonstrated ability to influence for greater outcomes

  • Able to set priorities, develop and manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
  • Extensive knowledge of Sales analytics and reporting principles and practices
  • Demonstrated project planning and project management skills
  • Ability to build strong positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships and maintain an accurate budget for brands
  • Ability to quickly learn about therapeutic area and products
