Job Essentials:
Technical Dimensions:
· Reviews, analyzes, and interprets financial and statistical data (cash flow, strategic plans, capital budget, etc.)Preparation of financial statements and supporting analysis
· Demonstrates a clear understanding of financial statement preparation according to accounting principals
· Reviews financial statements for accuracy
· Responsible for helping to ensure a smooth monthly closing process
· Responsible for providing support to ambulatory manages during budget process. Provide education and training assistance to dept mgrs in preparation of all annual budgets.
· Demonstrates working knowledge of Windows, Spreadsheet applications (Lotus/Excel), Word
· Demonstrates a broad understanding of the information systems presently installed
· Achieves objectives within established timeframes
· Works independently but seeks guidance and direction when necessary
· Assists in the year-end financial audit. Interacts with independent auditors during the annual preliminary and final audits.
· Performs duties of Staff Accountant when necessary.
Educational Requirements, Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance. Requires 2-3 years general accounting experience, including financial statement preparation and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures. Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and communication skills are needed
