The Pearson Arts & Sciences Division, an innovative, market leading higher education publishing unit of Pearson Education, is currently recruiting for a Curriculum Sales Specialist. We are looking for talented salespeople to engage our customers and help us to continue to grow the business.
A Curriculum Sales Specialist is responsible for sales growth of defined titles and disciplines at key high enrollment and high volume colleges and universities within a defined regional territory. Territory will consist of approximately 25 accounts with targeted titles or defined course areas. Primary responsibilities within the territory include calling on course decision-makers and establishing needs, presenting, and closing through phone, e-mail and marketing campaigns, and occasional campus coverage. Additionally the Curriculum Specialist collaborates with field-based sales reps to create and implement collaborative selling strategies for each account. This is a position that success in will lead to a field-rep territory role.
Reports to South East Regional Sales Manager.
' Degree from a 4-year college with proven academic success and/or equivalent business experience and success
' Prior successful sales experience a must
' Superior verbal, written and phone-based communication skills
' Strong sales skills and confident communicator
' Highly organized and detail-oriented
' Marketing, database management, and e-mail marketing experience a plus
' Technology savvy
' Ability to work independently and within a team environment
