Highway Design Engineer
Our Columbia Transportation Division is seeking a Highway Design Engineer with experience in all types of road projects. Respondent should have 4-8 years of experience including extensive knowledge and design capability utilizing Microstation and Geopak software. Respondent should also be well versed in the development of preliminary road plans through construction plans/documents in accordance with SCDOT methodology. Background should include exposure to drainage design, NEPA requirements, traffic capacity/signalization, traffic control, and construction disciplines. Respondent should be: highly motivated, able to multitask, work within a team environment, be production oriented, require minimal oversight, and be able to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion. Typical candidate should be licensed as PE or have taken exam.
