Nitto Denko Technical (NDT, www.ndtcorp.com) has a position for a chemical material scientist for holography display device in our San Diego, CA research and development laboratory facility. This position is responsible for technical R&D development for our novel holography device material; especially on continuous improvement of organic photorefractive material and device structure for new holography display concepts and developments.

1.   Knowledge and hand-on experience for new holography or photorefractive materials

2.  Experience and sufficient knowledge for basic organic optical device fabrication process and principle

3.  Experience and sufficient knowledge for polymer material and surface science

4.  Experience and sufficient knowledge for precision fabrication

5.  Experience and sufficient knowledge for log documentation system

REQUIREMENTS:

* MS or Ph.D in chemical engineer, optical material fabrication or device engineering

* Preferred with engineering and chemistry background

* Laser background is a plus, especially on laser device testing

* Surface science is a plus

* Physics knowledge is a plus

* Mechanical and EE background are also a plus, but not required

* Ability to interact effectively with management personnel, research staff and outside collaborators using effective written and oral communication skills

* Computer skills, including the ability to independently use Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and other programs

* Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position

* Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test, as well as be able to wear a respirator and pass a periodic physical examination
