Hospital Security Database Administrator

$6,467 - $8,828/month

We'll rely on you to provide security administration and database management to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all organizational healthcare information systems at NMC. This will include developing, implementing and managing multiple databases (clinical, admitting, accounting, revenue cycle and supply chain), ensuring database integrity and system security, assuring accurate and effective transaction time-stamping, logging and storage, developing system administration procedures and evaluating, completing and advising senior management on the approval of security forms. You will also plan and perform security audits, install and test new release patches and structure changes, actively participate in incident response team and research/recommend best hardware and software products.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in IT, 3-5 years of experience working with the end user community in a hospital or clinical setting and  6-8 years of combined IS and security work with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, application development, database design and administration, including 4 years of experience in information security.  A background that includes  development and implementation of security controls/policies and CISSP, GCIA, MCSE or CFISM certification is preferred.
