Hub Industrial Engineer

Provide Hub Management the necessary guidance/planning and measurement tools along with operational analysis to increase productivity and quality to, meet FedEx Ground�s hub operational goals.

Responsible for all hub engineering project planning, execution, and follow-up with engineers on key project milestones. Implement engineering principles and processes. Develop engineering plans and audit unloading, loading, manning wrap-up contingency plans, and linehaul operation. Ensure that all hubs of responsibility are �audit ready� at all times in regard to hub Industrial engineering policies and procedures. Work with the Division Hub Industrail Engineering Manager on quantitative and qualitative analysis of the hub operation to identify areas of opportunity and solutions for improvement. Manage Hub Industrial Engineering to focus efforts on production and service, and monitor goal attainment. Manage cost control and linehaul support. Provide technical expertise and direction on equipment justification, material handling, computer system, or industrial engineering technical problems. Monitor Department budget, and contribute to the overall capital and expense budgets within the division. Conduct hub Industrial Engineering training for hub Sort Manager and Service manager on engineering methods pertaining to new tools, engineering procedures, and methods. Serve as an internal Consultant for major hub industrial engineering initiatives, and as requested provide customer support with Sales staff for large shippers including supply chain supp ort on how to make process run more efficiently.

1-4 years professional experience preferably in the transportation or distribution industry.
