Description

A company's "people investment" is one of its most significant investments and EY's Human Capital practice focuses on helping clients better manage the cost and risk of their HR plans, programs and systems. Global Mobility professionals focus on helping clients with their international assignment programs. Services range from delivering expatriate tax returns, to assessing a client's vendor, to completely outsourcing its assignment administration. We also advise on the tax and HR implications of certain transactions involving global executives and HR policies.

We currently have a career opportunity for an expatriate senior representative to be responsible for providing the full range of service coordination to client personnel on international assignments (both U.S. and foreign), serving as a primary contact during the international assignment.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact with clients, their foreign offices and the international assignees throughout the entire international assignment.
Provide advice to clients and assignees as to the US tax implications of inbound and outbound assignments
Conduct pre-assignment and post-arrival consultations with the international assignees.
Review US tax returns, hypothetical tax calculations and tax equalization calculations prepared on behalf of the international assignees.
Train and mentor staff and other client-serving professionals on specifics of the engagement.
Coordinate all tax-related aspects of the client personnel's international assignments with the tax return preparer.

Work with an account manager on process improvement activities.

Participate in new business development and new client transition activities.
Participate in the billing and budgeting efforts on each engagement.

  • a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • at least 4 years of expatriate tax experience
  • knowledge of current automated tax processing systems and tax laws within an area of expatriate taxation
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving ability
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • a commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
