Performs responsible professional/administrative work, coordinating functions within Human Resources. JOB SUMMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Monitors unemployment claims by reviewing claims; substantiating documentation; responding to third party for submission and appeals. - Maintains human resources records by recording new hires - Documents human resource actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. - Maintain Workers Comp files on all injured employees - Coordinate the follow up with Medical facilities, claims adjuster, injured employee and field managers - Facilitate the flow of information and communication to those directly responsible for management or WC benefits - Report Workers Comp injuries to Insurance Co. - Maintain accident claim logs - Maintain OSHA 300 logs - Monitor late reporting and any claim documentation issues in the field - Report and Manage and General Liability and Vehicle accident claims - Monitor Medcor injury reporting process - Accomplishes human resource department and organization mission by completing related results as needed. REQUIREMENTS: 1-2 years of previous Human Resource experience Considerable knowledge of the principles, theories, and practices of public human resource management Demonstrated ability to make independent judgements and provide knowledgeable opinions Considerable knowledge of state and federal laws and court decisions relevant to proper human resource management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Good communication skills Customer service oriented. *No relocation expenses will be provided.
