Director of Human Resources

THE POSITION:

The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for the following.

• Overhaul HR system for this fast growing company


• Establish internal controls and a set of best practices.


• Review Policies and Procedures and make recommendations for improvements.


• Develop, mentor and train HR staff


• Travel to offices throughout the southeast to provide training. Standardize practices


• Conduct a wage parity study and develop a Job Classification system with related wage grids.


• Work with management to recruit and evaluate key personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• This person should have 10-20 years experience.


• Must have large company experience of 1000 workers or more in multiple locations.


• Must be available for overnight travel.


• Local candidates only


• Experience in one or more of the following industries greatly preferred: Trucking, Distribution, Waste Management.   


• BS or BA in related field


• The ability to interpret and communicate as well as demonstrated mastery of Human Resources and Human Capital Management.


• Able to work independently and in groups.

Ideal Candidate will additionally have (not requirements):

• PHR or SPHR certification
