Director of Human Resources

THE POSITION:
The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for the following.
- Overhaul HR system for this fast growing company
- Establish internal controls and a set of best practices.
- Review Policies and Procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
- Develop, mentor and train HR staff
- Travel to offices throughout the southeast to provide training. Standardize practices
- Conduct a wage parity study and develop a Job Classification system with related wage grids.
- Work with management to recruit and evaluate key personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- This person should have 10-20 years experience.
- Must have large company experience of 1000 workers or more in multiple locations.
- Must be available for overnight travel.
- Local candidates only
- Experience in one or more of the following industries greatly preferred: Trucking, Distribution, Waste Management.
- BS or BA in related field
- The ability to interpret and communicate as well as demonstrated mastery of Human Resources and Human Capital Management.
- Able to work independently and in groups.
Ideal Candidate will additionally have (not requirements):
- PHR or SPHR certification
