formulating policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department and
recommending policies and practices to senior management.
Job Functions
Affirmative Action requirements, union contract stipulation; administer
all employee benefit programs; conduct internal investigations for
complaints, misconduct and grievance resolution.
Administers the union contract and participates in labor contract
negotiation and Labor Management Committee.
Serves as chairperson for Agency Safety Committee and coordinate with
payroll administration, recruitment efforts and Agency Training programs.
Responsible for labor relations, provides advice and counsel on personnel
issues.
Administers classification programs, which includes classifying and
reclassifying positions and writing job descriptions.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or business, three years experience in
human resource at the management level, proven computer skills to include MS
Office and HRIS. An Advanced Degree and supervision experience desired, PHR
or SPHR Certification strongly preferred.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Satisfactory findings on a criminal background search.
2. Annual TB testing required.
