Direct the Human Resources, safety and payroll functions for multiple facilities and establish policies, programs and strategies to maximize the distribution centers' human resource potential. This includes HR strategy, staff leadership, associate relations, regulatory compliance, environmental health and safety, benefit administration and interpretation, recruiting and staffing, organizational and talent development, workers compensation, performance management and
training.

·                       Employee Relations: Serve as an employee advocate, internal consultant and business partner with management on human resources issues impacting the performance of the distribution center and all support functions.

·                       Leadership: Provide leadership and management to the human resources staff to include setting goals and objectives, performance management, development and planning and salary administration.

·                       HR Strategy: Partner with management team to develop and maintain appropriate HR strategies that align with the business strategies.

·                       Safety: Ensure the Environmental Health and Safety strategies are appropriate to meet the facility safety requirements and goals, as well as, OSHA legal requirements. This includes overseeing projects to remedy specific safety hazards, accident investigation team participation and training, and workers' compensation administration.

·                       Ensure legal compliance to all internal and external reporting entities such as EEO, AAP, ADA, FLSA, Workers' Compensation, etc. and represent the company in matters such as workers' compensation and unemployment insurance.

·                       Benefits and Compensation: Administer the salaried and hourly compensation programs, job evaluation process and direct the administration and interpretation of all benefit programs.

·                       Talent Acquisition and Development: Consistently administer the job opportunity policy and promotions process and create strategies to develop talent.

·                       Direct and coordinate the Performance Management Process and ensure proper performance improvement processes are established as necessary.

·                       Development and Training: Partner with management team to determine associate development opportunities to ensure organizational development either through training or job development opportunities.

 

 

Job Requirements :

·                       A minimum of 6-8 years HR experience required, encompassing all areas of human resources, including: Talent acquisition, employment law, compliance, policy management, performance management, training, safety, compensation and employee relations

·                       Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or acceptable equivalent; advanced degree a plus

·                       Leading/managing resources

·                       Strong communications (verbal and written) skills

·                       Strong employee relations and change management skills

·                       SPHR certification a plus

·                       Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and OSHA safety regulations

·                       Ability to work in MS Word, Excel, Power Point ADP Software and Kronos
