Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates weekly SLT meetings. 
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.  Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR groups (GMSGQ HR, CoE HR, TPC HR and CBC) to develop solutions, programs and policies. 
  • Select indicators in HR Management, follow up those indicators. (E.g. Time to fill, High-Potential rate, Turnover rate, Women in leadership position, etc.) 
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Lead talent review and calibration and guide people managers to develop differentiated IDPs (Individual Development Plans).  
  • Maintain succession plans for all key position.
  • Facilitate job rotations to ensure an appropriate fit between roles and individuals skills Design and implement training initiatives that address critical organizational capability needs at all levels Develops partnering with the management team, HR acquisition team, recruiting agents and universities to recruit critical roles in timely manner.
  • Rollout Takeda EVP and establish appropriate relationship with universities and professional associations to establish Takeda Hikari Plant as an employer of choice.

  • Embed a performance culture ensuring all employees receive ongoing feedback in line with Quality Conversation.
  • Implement measures from previous Best-in-Class employees survey and manage related project.
  • Guide the management team in designing roles and team structure to facilitate empowerment, agility and opportunities for development.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Develop and deliver leadership training modules for senior leaders and people managers throughout the organization.
  • Supports development of Change Agents.
  • Talent scout establishing an external presence to position Takeda Hikari Plant as an Employer of Choice; maintaining a strong talent pipeline.
  • Contribute to the GMS/GQ HR agenda globally, as a senior member of the GMS/GQ HR network and implementing agree initiatives locally.


  • Supports to resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Partners with the shared business service center (e.g. CBC) and the legal department as needed/required.
  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers. Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Built strong relationships with the relevant Works Council and allocate appropriate resources to work with them on agreements.
