Executive Director
We are seeking a strong Executive Director to be responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and evaluating the operations and programs of the branch. This individual has overall responsibility for the clinical, care management, financial, documentation/information management and daily operations of the branch.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in the healthcare field managing supervisors working in a geriatric setting.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of health care management, including: planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating projects and functions.
- Understands basic financial business operations.
- Must have knowledge of human resource functions including hiring, supervision, counseling, and terminations.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing is required, as well as skill with interpersonal relations and teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word & Excel, as well as database management.
FUNCTIONS:
- Directs daily operations of the branch. Implements processes and systems to be in compliance with federal and state regulations for a certified home health agency and long term-care diversion program. Implements clinical and operational policies to meet regulatory requirements.
- Interviews, hires, and provides overall direction for orientation of new personnel; Arranges for in-service education, as appropriate. Implements system to maintain human resource requirements of staff.
- Participates with corporate management team in review of monthly financial statements; oversees branch activities that are required for corporate billing, accounts receivable, payroll, and others.
- Oversees that all patients/members are provided with cost effective care plans that meet their needs identified on the assessment tool.
- Participates in Quality Assurance Program at local and corporate level. Assists with development and evaluation of Branch Annual Goals; Prepares Reports for Professional Advisory Committee meetings.
- Directs the negotiation of home health related contracts and agreements for provision of services; monitors performance related to terms of such agreements.
- Oversees local concerns with Diversion subcontractors and identifies the need to obtain new providers in coordination with the Provider Relations Department.
- Establishes and maintains an on-going public relations program and marketing plan to increase community understanding, improve relations with physicians and subcontracted providers, and other care clinicians.
- Provides leadership for the implementation of policies, procedures and standards of care that affect the programs offered by the branch.
- Directs the implementation of record systems and statistical reporting systems to accurately record clinical services and all program functions; Maintains record storage with consistency to regulations.
- Directs communications to employees through regular meetings and/or written announcements. Works to develop a cohesive team that is focused on the branch goals.
- Provides timely and appropriate reports to Corporate Leadership staff on branch or company projects and/or concerns. Communicates regularly with the Corporate Director of Operations.
- Limited travel required.
