Human Resources Generalist
Nice Pak Indiana Manufacturing Plant - Mooresville, IN
Essential Function:
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas working closely with the HR Manager; employee relations, training, recruitment, benefit administration and safety within the Indiana organization. This position supports the organization and is accountable for achieving certain goals within their area of responsibility. Will be a primary contact for all employees relative to HR activities, employee concerns/issues and will be accountable to assist in resolving problems, concerns or issues relative to operation and Human Resource inititiatives.
Scope:
To support the workplace through effective positive employee relations processes and systems, training, administration, benefits administration, establishing and implementing effective and positive employee relations procedures and policies. Interacts with all members of the organization .
The incumbent should be available to all shift employees as well as salaried staff. This will require flexibility in work schedules.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Be available to meet with, talk to associates throughout the organization inorder to ensure that their questions, comments and concerns are heard. In addition the incumbent will be a key individuals in communicating HR initiatives and/or policy changes/interpretations.
2. Support the company programs, procedures and policies to assist all employees with the skills, knowledge, and ability to help them be successful in their rles and meet plant, department and personal goals.
3. Assist in the orientation of new hires and monitor their success during their probationary period and thereafter.Actively participate in the recruitiment and training processes.
4. Assist in providing guidance on employee relations issues such as: performance issues, employee concerns and suggestions, policy interpretations and administration, and disciplinary actions.
5. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, customer service, and professionalism whe interacting with associates.
6. Assist in the administration of all programs and employee activities, including leadership training, coaching and counseling, safety training, employee selection, etc.. Monitor Retention, reduce turnover, and manage unemployment claims. Identify work place issues which require corrective action and implement agreed upon plans.
7. Provide reports as required.
8. Maintain regular communication with the the local HR team as well as off site HR groups in NY, etc.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Equivalent Education Level Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience Required: 5+ years of Generalist responsibility in a Manufacturing environment.

2. Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project
3. Excellent Communication skills
4. Fundamental understanding of various benefit and compensation programs and their administration.
