Job Description

Human Resources Generalist

We are currently seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team in Lenexa, KS. Qualified persons will have knowledge in the Human Resources function and provide professional, administrative and technical support in the following areas: employment, training and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


-   Serve as the primary Human Resources point of contact for members of a Production environment. (This role will support a wide range of  customers ranging from entry level to members of Management.)
-   Act as a counselor for management and employees on employee relations matters and assist with Conflict resolution.
-   Act as an active leader during the organization's benefits enrollment period.
-   Conduct New Employee Orientation and ongoing activities related to the On Boarding of new associates.
-   Act as a resource with solid fundamental knowledge of employment law (i.e. FMLA matters, ADA, etc)
-   Compile and produce routine reporting and analysis for the Human Resources department including but not limited to turnover, benefits, pay changes, affirmative action, budget, recruitment, retention and departmental activities.
-   Complete reports and requests for information, as required for internal customers
-   Update HRIS database with employee change requests, terminations, new hires and process paperwork.


SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:


-   Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar discipline
-   5-7 years experience in Human Resources or a combination of education and experience.
-   Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment
-   Strong interpersonal skills
-   Ability to maintain strict confidence.
-   Excellent oral and written communication skills. Comfortable leading presentations using Powerpoint
-   Solid organizational and time management skills
-   Accuracy, preciseness and attention to detail.
-   Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and other software applications as specified.
-   Familiar with HRIS software packages (ie. Peoplesoft, SAP, etc.)
-   Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
-   Strong data analysis and mathematical skills.
-   Comfortable working in a fast pace environment
