Key Responsibilities

Serves as a Human Resources generalist for 14 states comprising our North Division (CT, IL, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MO NE, NJ, OH PA, TN, VA) and all on-site government bases.  Also responsible for the MACTEC Development Corp. part of our business for all Human Resource issues.

Employee Relations

·   Provides daily assistance on questions raised regarding Human Resources issues; provides one-on-one coaching to employees and to managers.

Strategy/Performance Management

·   Assists in providing management with reports and data analysis; counsels management on disciplinary and termination issues.

·   Serves as an advisor to managers on organizational development and effectiveness.

Training

·   Trains managers on performance appraisal and management, leadership, hiring, retaining, benefit plans.

Compensation/Benefits

·   Advises Managers of appropriate pay levels for new hires and current employees; counsels employees on benefit policies; implements business cases for involuntary terminations/severances.

Will be required to travel on an as needed basis – approximately 10%.

Basic/Required Qualifications

·   Minimum 7 years experience in an HR leadership position.

·   Knowledge of various state and federal laws regarding employment and general personnel practices.

·   Candidate must have excellent training, employee relations, compensation, organizational development, and problem solving skills.

·   Must have proven ability to partner with Senior Leaders and business operations in multiple locations.

·   Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are a must.

·   Proficient in Microsoft office applications.

·   Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
