In partnership with America's growers, Bunge North America is the vital link that connects food producers, manufacturers and consumers worldwide. We are a leader in the North American food supply chain that extends from grain origination to the production of value-added food products for consumers.  We have an opportunity within our Human Resources group for a Human Resources Manager based in Bradley, IL.

 

The HR Manager will be a full partner with functional leaders and will be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of Human Resources practices and strategies to exceed business goals.

 

This position will be responsible for driving corporate and division initiatives, developing strategies for maintaining positive employee relations, providing guidance and direction to leaders on complex business and HR issues.

 

The successful candidate will utilize coaching, consulting and facilitation skills to influence behavior and business decisions consistent with Bunge’s Core Values.

 

Essential Functions:

Provide human resources support to 200 plus union hourly and salaried employees

Counsel and influence management regarding policies, practices, laws and regulations and monitor application to ensure positive and equitable employee relations

Responsible for recruitment of new talent and motivating them to contribute towards the achievement of targeted objectives

Intensive employee relations, working to create an open and cooperative work environment, facilitating and promoting active and constructive communication in all areas of the organization 

Work effectively and develop relationships with the collective bargaining workforce and within guidelines of the collective bargaining agreement to ensure fair treatment and retaining management rights in issues involving grievance handling and matters of labor disagreement

Development and coordination of an affirmative action plan

Partner with corporate HR in administration of benefits, payroll and HRIS requests

 

Qualifications/Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or closely related field

Five to seven years progressive human resources management experience with a strong background in labor and employee relations

Prior union experience in a manufacturing environment is required

Effectively prioritizes and manages multiple business partner needs and projects

Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships within all levels of the organization

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization

Strong problem solving, coaching and facilitation skills required

Travel of approximately 25% required
