The Pratt & Whitney Engineering organization has an opening for an experienced Human Resources Manager. Responsibilities will include: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required. The position will be responsible for all HR matters for the Mechanical Systems & Externals organization, within the Engineering organization, and will report directly to the HR Manager, Module Centers & Operations Engineering.
-Strategic leadership of human resources activities to support specific business and organizational objectives of the Mechanical Systems & Externals organization, an engineering organization
-Partnering with Engineering business leaders to align human resources objectives and initiatives to the business strategy
- Accountability for driving innovative and effective human resources strategies that support the organization's business objectives
- Building stakeholder relationships
- Leading and facilitating change through the use of HR consultative skills and aligning them with business goals
- Ensuring the application of various HR processes and programs such as employee engagement, retention, compensation and salary planning, development, performance management, talent management, diversity and inclusion, leadership & succession planning and of their alignment with organizational needs and business strategies.
A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Minimum 6-10+ years of direct HR generalist experience, along with demonstrated leadership in HR consulting, coaching and counseling skills with senior business leaders is required.
Additionally, the candidate must be able to interact effectively with leaders in the organization and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; possess strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; have the ability to lead projects with significant scope and complexity within the line organization; have the ability to meet deadlines and respond quickly to requests; have the ability to interact with a diverse and inclusive workforce and work effectively in a matrix organizational structure; possess strong analytical skills; and have demonstrated experience leading teams.
The position is located in East Hartford, CT. Relocation of the candidate to East Hartford, CT may be an option.
