Position Description

Human Resources Manager

TESSADA is seeking a delivery-oriented HR Manager with experience in the government contracting industry and labor relations. Based in Huntsville, AL, this position offers a rewarding role as the lead in HR for our MITS contract.

 

The role of HR Manager incorporates a broad generalist background in human resource management skills and an expertise in strategic client partnership, including employee relations, performance management, workforce development, conflict resolution, consensus building, compensation, benefits and recruitment.  The incumbent must have solid technical skills in employee relations. The Manager is charged with balancing strategic vision with practical day-to-day HR service delivery.

 

HR Manager manages the day to day HR activity such as; ensuring compliance with corporate governance; advising Managers on counseling employees regarding performance issues; liaising with other support functions such as Payroll and advising staff on HR policy. Reports on a matrix basis to the Director of Human Resources and the Program Manager. The incumbent will interfaces with all levels of management, employees, candidates and HR related vendors.

 

The individual will participate to the design and implement effective human resources strategies and programs to ensure TESSADA overall business goals of accountability, professionalism, and securing a competitive position in the governmental contracting industry. In this role you will act as Business and Strategic Partner, an Employee Advocate and a Change Champion.

 

Preferred Credentials:

4-year degree in human resources or related field

8 years experience with a minimum of 3 years in the government contracting business. CBA experience is a plus.

Experience with HRIS using DELTEK system.

SPHR Certification preferred
