About the Job

Stable Fortune 1000 Organization is seeking an HR Manager to manage and administer Human Resources functions.  The right candidate will be objective and
detail-oriented.



 



Responsibilities:




  • Serves as the primary contact to provide Human Resources
    guidance and support. Responsibilities include advising leadership in
    managing employee relations’ issues, maintaining/updating policies and
    procedures, supporting change initiatives, evaluating and filling staffing
    needs, facilitating benefit program administration, coaching for
    performance and identifying training opportunities, and managing the
    compensation and payroll functions.

  • Plans, directs and carries out policies relating
    to all phases of personnel activity including reviewing and maintaining
    employee handbook for current law updates and policy enforcement
    management.

  • Responsible for all Labor Relations activities
    including grievances, contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with
    collective bargaining agreements, and corrective actions.

  • Review and maintain new hire and separation
    policies and procedures for the Company. Maintain I-9 documentation and
    compliance.

  • Handle all recruitment duties to identify and
    hire qualified staff.

  • Coach, consult and act as advocate to management
    and individuals in performance management and progressive disciplinary
    actions.

  • Manage the Worker’s Compensation program
    including investigating accidents and preparing reports for insurance
    carrier.

  • Identify and facilitate necessary training and
    development curriculum.

  • Payroll management, including but not limited to,
    all Federal, State and any local (where applicable) reporting functions, overtime
    policies, vacation and paid time off accounts.

  • Compensation Administration to include conducting
    wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate. Must
    have a strong knowledge of minimum wage provisions.

  • Manage all Employee Health and Welfare benefits,
    including medical, dental, vision, and disability. Oversight of the 401k
    retirement plan with management for the company including coordinating data
    between the service provider and the Company.

  • Responsible for evaluating and suggesting new
    benefit vendors/providers and compensation structures or changes to
    existing plans.

  • Prepares budget of personnel operations.

  • May prepare internal employee
    communications. 

  • Strong knowledge and experience with all
    Federal, State, and local ordinances including LOA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, AAP,
    COBRA, HIPPA, HEPA, FEHA, FLSA, COBRA, etc. 



 



Qualifications:




  • 6 - 10 years HR Management experience required.

  • BA/BS degree preferred.

  • HR Certification a plus.

  • Ability to “hit the ground running”, with strong
    leadership, interpersonal and communication skills a must.

  • Flexible, approachable HR Professional who is
    comfortable working with all levels of employees.
