Description:
Judge Executive Search is currently seeking a degreed Human Resources Manager for a growing unionized manufacturing company located in Minnesota. The Human Resources Manager will support two unionized manufacturing sites for this company and will be responsible for maintaining positive employee and labor relations at the sites, handling labor contract interpretation, grievance resolution, and monthly labor meetings with local unions as well as support contract negotiations.
Other essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
· Assist in developing talent resource plans including succession planning and employee development actions as well as recruitment strategies to support sites.
· Manage local staffing activities for hourly personnel and non-exempt positions and assist Regional Director with filling exempt openings.
· Act as liaison with site SHE and Medical departments on matters involving employee disability, wellness and fitness for duty.
· Assist Regional Director with compensation planning process for salaried employees including promotions, equity analysis and merit increase program.
· Provide direction and management of plant reward and recognition activities including site incentive plans and department and individual incentive programs.
· Maintain HR records such as personnel files per company policy.
· Update HRIS system with employee status and compensation changes as required.
· Maintain compliance with all EEO and other Federal and State laws as well as annual AAP process.
· Track key HR Metrics such as absenteeism, turnover rate, cycle time to fill positions, etc. and establish improvement strategies.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates for the Human Resources Manager position must meet the following requirements to be considered:
· Minimum 4 year degree, preferred discipline(s) include Human Resources or Labor Relations. An advanced degree is preferred.
· 5-9 years of total experience within a Human Resources Generalist/Management position within a manufacturing environment.
· Strong labor relations and contract negotiation experience.
· Highly proficient in HRIS.
· Strong knowledge of labor laws.
· Union experience is required.
· Ability to travel between two plants- travel up to 30%.
· Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local employment laws as well as a proficient knowledge of the NLRA.
· Previous experience conducting human resource planning and staffing activities.
· Experience with recruiting, compensation planning and incentive programs.
