Key Duties/Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist will implement and support Human Resource processes, practices and procedures, with a focus on organizational development, recruiting, training and promoting a results oriented and performance driven culture for all US facilities. Drives critical HR initiatives including employment and employee relations. Focuses on the execution of talent management processes including: recruiting and staffing, on-boarding and new hire orientation, training, the development needs of managers and employees, retention and succession planning, employee issues, and other programs.
The Human Resources Recruiter/Generalist will :
· Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives
· Collaborate with Department Managers to accomplish recruiting objectives.
· Work with Marketing to develop copy, advertisements, and proactive internet and social media presence and recruiting strategy.
· Manage recruiting, sourcing and screening active and passive candidates for technical, non-technical, and other salaried and clerical positions.
· Maintain open to fill positions listing and provide supporting documentation, recruiting reports and activity.
· Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media and internet sites and professional associations.
· Represent Metem at job fairs, colleges, etc.
· Coordinate hiring process from initial screening to offer and reference checking.
· Manage new hire orientation and on-boarding process for both salaried and hourly employees.
· Communicate regularly with upper level management on all applicable HR and staffing matters
· Identify learning needs of employees and make recommendations
· Determine best learning approaches, media and format
· Communicate and negotiate with outside vendors
· Monitor effectiveness of on-boarding and training. Make proposals for improvement.
· Administer all corporate training programs, ensuring that appropriate and required training takes place as scheduled, and is documented.
· Evaluate current HR practices and make recommendations for best in class solutions for contemporary HR issues.
· Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices, monitoring compensation trends, with an emphasis on benefits.
· Oversee Metem coaching, mentoring and internship programs.
· Collaborate with Marketing to create company events and employee recognition programs to brand Metem as an “employer of choice.”
· Be well informed and current on HR legal and compliance issues, as well as updating job knowledge by participating in professional associations, educational opportunities, etc.
· Assist in Generalist duties, such as benefits, compensation and compliance, as well as HR company initiatives.
