SEEK Professionals is currently recruiting for a Hybrid Systems/Software Engineer southwest of Milwaukee, WI. Local candidates only please - there is no relocation for this position.

 

Our client company is an early adopter of hybrid technology especially in connection with using the electrical grid to power vehicles and work platforms. Due to the high growth potential for this technology, this newly created position is critical to the successful product launch.

 

Manage, interpret and document customer requirements and anticipate needs; Develop and document system specifications and requirements; Assist with the testing and verify performance; Search for new applications of Hybrid technology; Establish new, and maintain existing, relationships with customers; Assist in the calculation of client quotations; Offer after-sales technical support services; Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education; Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team. Design and conduct tests; Propose product modifications and retest products; Qualify the final product or system; Prepare product documentation and write reports; Offer design improvement techniques, fixtures, and manufacturing aids to increase productivity, safety and quality.

 

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree in Engineering preferred. 7-10 years of proven, related experience included some vehicle experience in the Automotive or Heavy Truck Industry; ; mechatronics experience preferred. Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems; System/Software Engineering process knowledge and experience (e.g. System Spec, SIL, FMEA, PV & DV, 8D, V&V and document management); Experience with Software tools and language (Matlab/Simulink, MotoTron, C++, dSpace, ETAS, AutoCAD, Solid Works, Autodesk Inventor, E3etc.)
