Job Overview:


ATMI is seeking an IBM Global Account Manager, reporting to the Sr. Director for North America and Europe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all customer engagements at IBM and the IBM Alliance, focusing on superior account management and execution of new product strategies, resulting in ATMI's recognition as the premier supplier of Technology Enabling and Process Efficiency Solutions. This leadership role will be relied upon to continue to transform strategic account management, implement innovative models to communicate ATMI's value to customers and to continue to raise the overall standards of excellence of the sales channel. Additional focus is on driving the success and adoption of High Productivity Development worldwide. This position will ideally be based in the northeast near Danbury, Connecticut.



Primary Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute the strategic account plan for the IBM Alliance, to maximize ATMI's revenue, new product adoptions and key technology engagements;
  • Direct Account responsibilities for IBM in NY and VT and Global Foundries in NY, as well as possibly some other accounts;
  • Lead matrixed organization of IBM Alliance Partner account managers;
  • Achieve revenue targets while providing a long-term, sustainable, value-based relationship with ATMI's strategic accounts;
  • Cultivate effective relationships with customers at all levels, emphasizing collaboration for mutual benefit;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments through communication of customer situations, opportunities and overall market conditions;
  • Lead ?virtual? teams leveraging key ATMI resources in the field and other areas to maximize success;
  • Help lead and drive success of a new cross functional team focused on High Productivity Development adoption Worldwide, leveraging this key competitive advantage to differentiate ATMI process solutions;
  • Availability to travel 30-40%, both domestically and internationally.




    Education/Experience:


  • BA or BS, technical background preferred;
  • MBA or business degree a plus in order to make the complex business decisions required for the organization;
  • Minimum of 10 years in a sales, marketing and/or field applications roles;
  • Thorough market knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and services sector;
  • Experience and demonstrated success at the IBM account is a plus.
