We are seeking a self-motivated and dedicated systems professional to be a part of the team that supports our back-office fixed-income process. As an Application developer, you will provide high quality technical  solutions that address specific business needs by developing, enhancing and supporting our web-based applications.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrated knowledge of open-source web technologies including Struts, and Hibernate. Experience with Tomcat or other application server technologies, such as Websphere, will be a plus.
 


In order of importance:

• Struts 2-3 years, within 1 year

• Hibernate 2-3 years, within 1 year

• Spring  2-3 years, within 1 year

• SQL Programming, preferably Sybase  2-3 years, within 1 year

• Unix  2-3 year, within 1 year

• Ksh scripting  2-3 years, within 1 year

• JSP 2-3 years, within 1 year

• Java  2-3 years, within 1 year
 
Experience in the following areas a definite plus:

• Knowledge of financial markets, especially fixed-income trading

• JavaScript, HTML, XML

• Websphere, Tomcat

• Quartz

• Sybase
 
General Qualifications

 

• Minimum 3  years application development work experience
• System design and development skills including analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing and implementation applications
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently, make independent decisions, understand and articulate business requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build business relationships
• Experience working with  and developing applications for Java Application servers
