PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Our customer is an international industrial producer of laminated/coated/printed food packaging and they have a critical need for a Product Development Engineer to improve existing products and develop new ones for their growing list of customers.
In addition to developing solutions for new applications which lead to new commercial sales, you will develop excellent relationships with customers and key personnel in plants and function as an expert in your area.
You will conceptualize new multi-layer laminations, research and apply technologies as well as develop the validation protocol, design, and setup and supervise trials.
Your ability to write reports and presentations is important as is your ability to interface with customers for initial guidance and throughout the project for updates.
You will coordinate procedures, time frames and process testing with manufacturing and you will oversee product trials throughout the development process.
Additionally you will work with customers in their validation and approval process and provide customer assistance during processing and final application.
To qualify for this exciting, high visibility position, you will need a BS Chemical Engineering (or similar technical degree) and 5 years of product development experience in a food packaging lamination and extrusion coating environment.
Our customer offers a solid benefits package, relocation assistance and a salary in the $80 - $100K range. Ability to work in the US without sponsorship is required.
