Petra's successful Acquisition team is currently looking to add several team members to contribute to our Sales/Business Development efforts. Work Hours are M-F, 8am-5pm, or 9am-6pm. A blended professional background of Business Acquisition and Telesales, with proven success in a Commission driven environment is a must for this particular role.
Job Details are as follows:
Prospect and retain new business for partner programs, at defined monthly goals, ensuring partner and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES |
· Contact prospective customers and secure business growth by achieving or exceeding goals set by Sales Director. Over first 90 days, performance against these metrics will be reviewed frequently. Minimum goal achievement is required.
· Responsible for obtaining customer orders on an inbound and outbound call basis, while aggressively growing individual territories and supporting team and departmental requirements to achieve goals.
· Responsible for all sales activities for small to medium retail outlets within assigned customer bases as well as sales activities for new and prospective clients.
· Act as liaison between the customer and operational functions (including Distribution and Credit) to assure complete customer satisfaction.
· Assist in inbound sales calls, including but not limited to data entry of inbound and written orders (via fax, email, mail, etc.)
· Required to actively up sell and increase orders through suggestive selling techniques.
· Required to participate in selling competitions, SPIFF programs and product campaigns and achieve results within these programs.
· Required to study and learn the current product selections within Petra’s product mix. Expected to increase knowledge by attending all vendor product training sessions, studying new catalogs and fliers, and making every effort to enhance product familiarity and expertise.
· Maintain a positive working relationship with customers by initiating action on customer service issues in a prompt and courteous manner.
· Effectively communicate customer feedback, expectations, needs and problems to Sales management.
· Follow all procedures and protocol for sales techniques, follow up processes and operational functions.
· Required to maintain superior customer service reputation with customers, coworkers, team leaders and management. This includes quick and decisive action to requests, adaptability to change, and providing viable alternatives in procedures, processes and functions if necessary.
· Punctual and regular attendance is a job requirement.
· Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education:
· High School diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
· Minimum 2 years of Sales and/or Call Center Experience (Consumer Electronics Industry preferred)

Typical Physical Demands:
· Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
