Farmers has one of the most competitive commission structures in the insurance industry. One of the greatest benefits to being a Farmers Insurance agent is the concept of residual sales commissions. Why would you want to only get paid once for a sale when you can get paid over and over for the same sale? That is the beauty of residual commissions, you earn your commissions on the sale and continue to earn commissions every time that policy renews.
What is the start up Cost?
Your District office will help you get started by providing you with the necessary office space, supplies, training, and support at no cost to you. You get to try out this amazing sales opportunity at little to no risk. Most agents start part time, working at their current post while getting trained and familiar with our systems. Once you have established a successful agency you can then transition to being a Farmers Agent full time, open your own office and take it to the next level of growth and sales.
To top it all, once you choose to dedicate yourself to being a Farmers Agent there is abase subsidy that you may qualify for during your first 2 years. That is in addition to any commissions, bonuses, incentives, awards, and achievements that you may earn. This base will help you as you start working on yours mall business. You can choose where you want to set up your office and in the future, once you have established your agency, you have the option to pass the business down to a family member using the Farmers family rights provision.
