IS Lead - Sleep Medicine

Provides technical support for all staff and associates in the Sleep Medicine Division. Must use prior knowledge, problem solving skills, research, and internal and external IT resources to independently and collaboratively resolve complex problems. Analyze user requirements and needs to provide recommendations and solutions. Act as customer/user advocate. Follow and ensure that both Sleep Medicine Division and UPHS IT policies and standards are maintained.

 Skill Requirements: 

  • Analyze division needs, providing appropriate justifications and presentations.
  • Evaluate and answer complex requests for data and information.
  • Strong customer service and user advocate orientation.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Effective negotiating skills - bringing appropriate parties together and reconciling differences.
  • Partner with University/Health System IT groups to provide outstanding customer support.
  • Department budget development and management.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for technology issues.
  • Excellent Project Management skills and demonstrated experience.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd level support as needed, to multiple locations.
  • Establish IT performance metrics.
  • Ability to train/mentor staff on best practices for IT support.
  • Effectively interact and work with all levels of personnel, including: IT staff, consulting staff, clinicians, administrators, clerical staff, external consultants, and others as required
  • Effectively communicate problems, status updates, and work issues.
  • Proactively identify potential problems and possible solutions.
  • Manage and participate in IT projects.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise over a wide range of IT hardware, software, and concepts.
  • Identify and use appropriate resources as needed for problem resolution, projects, and data gathering
  • Possess current knowledge of systems and technology in use throughout department.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and recommend as appropriate.
  • Strong self-directed time management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and active listening skills.
  • Creative use of resources to provide practical solutions economically, effectively, and on time.
  • Monitor division staff and system performance.
  • Typing speed of 25wpm or greater.
