EZShield a leading provider of security, and fraud protection services to small businesses and consumers, located in Harford County, is seeking a IS Operations Manager to join our team.
Work Experience and required skills
Minimum of 10 years professional experience working in a structured IT environment with a strong background in Network Engineering and supporting remote users. Minimum of 3 years experience leading or managing a technical team. Job duties include, but are not limited to, management of the information systems department in accordance with organizational policies and goals, ensure proper functioning of the information processing system and make upgrades as necessary, help business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency, keep computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs.
Responsibilities
Data Center Oversight
· Manages the relationship with the 3rd Party Data Center
·Works with Product Engineering the scope, size, specify, architect and deploy appropriate technology infrastructure
·Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
Corporate Infrastructure, Networks & Telephony
·Scope, size, specify and coordinate the installation and deployment of such networking technologies as: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPN.
·Manages network infrastructure and troubleshoots connectivity issues including routing, switching, firewalls, IDS, and remote access.
·Manages and develops upgrades to the company's Network.
·Manages and develops upgrades to the company's telephone system.
Help Desk Management
·Oversees all help desk activities and responds to escalated help desk issues.
·Supervises and coordinates activities of employees providing IT customer support services, including all trouble reports and service requests received.
·Provides guidance to employees to ensure compliance with defined policies and procedures.
·Monitors service desk requests to observe employee demeanor, technical accuracy, and conformity to company policies and service desk procedures.
·Compiles work volume statistics for accounting and trending purposes and for records of customer service requests and complaints.
·Performs satisfaction surveys and develops action plans to address areas needing improvement.
Management
·Interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner.
·Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies.
·Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
·Ensures that company assets are tracked and maintained responsibly.
·Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
·Relays relevant IT-related information to the company in a timely manner and understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
·Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of IT responsibility.
Qualifications
·BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Science, or related area or equivalent experience.
·Knowledge in Juniper networking equipment highly preferred. Must have 5+ years of experience in a Network Engineering role.
·Must have experience in VMware ESX virtualization technologies such as HA, VMotion, and DRS.
·Experience implementing and supporting Microsoft products such as Active Directory, Exchange Server, SQL Server, SharePoint 2007, Office Communication Server, and IIS.
·3+ years of overall IT management experience over a group of direct reports ranging from 5-10+ people
·Proven excellence in: Planning; Leadership; Communication; Negotiation; Problem Solving; and Organizational influence
·Proven ability to remove technical/organizational obstacles while building relationships with managers, peers and customers
·Must be able to build and maintain high-performing teams while multitasking effectively across other responsibilities
·Demonstrated adherence to formalized project management and software development lifecycle methodologies in a large, complex IT environment
·Proven business analysis and documentation skills.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Professional language skills in verbal communication and written correspondence with the ability to effectively convey relevant information to different audiences at all levels.
