Role Summary/Purpose As a member for Kronos COE team in Shared Services, the IT Application Architect – Business Solutions will manage Kronos instances across Energy & Technology Infrastructure businesses and work with COE Program leads to deliver programs on time. In this role, you will contribute to the overall COE strategy to manage cross business Kronos instances, upgrades etc. This is hands-on IT Application Architect role.
Essential Responsibilities · Serve as Application Architect for Kronos COE across Energy & Technology Infrastructure Kronos instances · Manage & stabilize DEV, QA and PROD architecture, app environments & instances. · Manage and lead Upgrades, Service packs, patches · Be a liaison between TSG, Kronos (Vendor) and COE · Manage & Own production release schedule & CAB along with project leads · Help introduce / evaluate new products/technologies (Kronos Activities, Mobile Kronos, SOA, ESB, WebServices etc.) · Research / own performance & availability improvements related to Infrastructure & application · Identify critical path decisions, make recommendations, and influence program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback · Maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization · Lead evaluation/implementation of third party software solutions and keep up to date on enabling technologies as applicable
Qualifications/Requirements · Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering OR high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an information systems project management and program planning role· A minimum of 2 additional years of experience with current information technologies and their implementation into the business functionELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:· Please submit your application for employment through Gecareers.com to be considered· 18 years of age or older· Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.· Willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the selection process · Willing to work out of an office in Visteon Village, Wayne County, Van Buren Township (near Ann Arbor / Detroit) Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work. Desired Characteristics · Previous Solution or Application Architect experience, J2EE, Oracle, Apache is a plus.· IMLP and/or CAS graduate is preferred (internal applicants only) is a plus· Proven leadership skill in both business planning and information technology· Strong oral and written communication skills· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills· Quality and cost driven· Established project management and organizational abilities
