Duties and Responsibilities: The IT Application Consultant / Senior IT Application Consultant - IT Application Support is responsible for supporting IT application systems & underlying databases for clients in Corporate Center. This involves filling a lead role in working with clients to identify their needs, providing technical expertise in the evaluation of software solutions, testing, training, documentation, design, development, configuration, implementation, upgrades and ongoing production support of these solutions. Production support includes troubleshooting applications, interaction with software vendors, as well as solving and responding to client requests. Ability to work independently on small/medium projects or as a team member on larger projects is required. On-call support during off hours is required on a rotating basis. Applications supported by the IT Application Support team include the Remedy suite of IT Service Management (ITSM) applications, other Remedy applications, a variety of IT Asset Management products, the corporate Paging System and Business Intelligence reporting using SAP Business Warehouse. This person will work in a collaborative team environment with other IT professionals, work directly with IT customers, and participate as needed as a technical resource on both IT and Business Unit project teams.
Education and Experience Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related discipline is required. An understanding of the IT Software Development Lifecycle, project management, incident, problem and change management is required. Demonstrated technical expertise and skills in analysis, problem solving, planning, organizing, decision making, communications and strong client relations are required. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a customer focused team environment and have strong interpersonal skills. Experience in project leadership, business analysis or application development in an information systems support role is desired. Familiarity with one or more of the following tools/platforms is desired: Remedy Version 7.x, Oracle, SAP Business Warehouse, Crystal Reports.
