Application Support Specialist
Continental Home Loans, Inc. is an established HUD-approved lender with over 25 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. We lend on a national level with our corporate office located in New York. We are currently seeking a full time Application Support Specialist to work in our corporate headquarters in Melville, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a corporate IT Help Desk related position, within a numbers-related, detail oriented work environment, preferably within the mortgage industry.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in a corporate IT Help Desk related position, within a numbers-related, detail oriented work environment (mortgage industry preferred).
· High level of experience with all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Visio); Share Point, XP.
· Experience with report writing packages (e.g. Crystal Reports).
· Working knowledge of hardware and hardware configurations.
· Microsoft Office certification preferred, but not required.
· Knowledge of Encompass and .NET development a plus.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
· Excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as strong oral and written communications skills.
· Ability to work independently while at the same time work effectively in a collaborative structure with personnel throughout every level of the company.
· Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment, with the ability to multi-task and display a positive attitude toward new opportunities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Provide user support for Production Systems including Encompass, Microsoft Office products Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Visio including feature use recommendations and training.
· Assist with the installation, support and maintenance of in-house computer systems, desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
· Communicate the status of problems and resolutions to users.
Log calls and resolutions and follow up with users to ensure problems were fixed properly and solicit feedback and ideas for the helpdesk.
· Assist in development and maintenance of IT asset management system.
· Keep peers and manager informed of trends, significant problems, and unexpected delays.
· Assist in training program development and the preparation of well-written communications and end-user documentation.
· Identify client issues or problems which may require changes to procedures, standards and systems.
· Perform other related duties as requested
