Role Summary/Purpose
The IT Architect will serve as a technical expert responsible for design and implementation of application and enterprise platforms. In this role you will design platforms that integrate corporate, central, distributed and client server systems to maximize utility and minimize cost. You will also identify, evaluate, and recommend new / enhanced technologies and products for current system improvement, develop technical standards, and provide complex system issue resolution.

Essential Responsibilities
- Ensure that plans for system technologies integrate effectively with multiple application and enterprise layers of hardware and software
- Work with process, technology and council leaders throughout GE and align their needs to CoE's implementation / integration strategies for HP BTO Tools
- Ensure operations and meeting of all service level agreements for existing Enterprise BTO Software and Infrastructure Customers
- Work with process, technology and council leaders throughout GE and align their needs to CoE's implementation / integration strategies for HP BTO Tools
- Work with appropriate Lead Systems Analysts to align infrastructure and software needs for additional projects, upgrades and Readiness To Support (RTS) Activities
- Advise Implementation strategies and approach across the BTO Suite (working with additional experts across both GE and HP)
- Manage all configuration, asset and change for HP BTO products at the CoE


Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in Information Technology
- Minimum of 3 years of Experience with Designing and Implementing Enterprise Systems and Applications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with open source environments
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with Oracle Databases
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Linux Platform

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
- This position requires access to controlled technology. To abide by Export Compliance regulations candidates must have either US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident Alien Status.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics
- Masters Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field
- Expert knowledge of one or more of the following products: HP Service Manager, HP Service Center, HP Quality Center, Project & Portfolio Manager, Business Availability Manager, OpsWare, Openview, Universal Configuration Management Database, Quality Center, Asset Center
- 3+ years applying knowledge of SDLC
- 3+ years of experience working with Service Oriented Architecture
- In depth knowledge around High Availability and Disaster Recovery
- 2+ years experience managing/coordinating Global Teams
- Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities
- Strong team player � collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
- Demonstrated customer focus � evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
- Strong analytical skills � strong problem solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
- Change oriented � actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways

By centralizing best practices and volume across the GE, we�re able to drive high quality and low cost of service. With contractors, the Team fluctuates between 180 � 250 people.
