Role Summary/Purpose
The IT Architect – Enterprise serves as a technical expert responsible for design and implementation of application and enterprise platforms. In this role you will also design platforms that integrate corporate, central, distributed and client server systems to maximize utility and minimize cost as well as ensuring that technologies integrate effectively with layers of hardware & software.

Essential Responsibilities
The IT Architect - Enterprise is responsible for providing technical vision to GE Corporate and other GE Businesses, in support of the development of highly reliable systems. This is a unique information technology role, in that this leader will need to utilize in-depth, hands-on technical expertise, and strong communication skills. . Identify, evaluate, & recommend new or enhanced technologies that improve current systems . Develop technical standards and provides resolution of complex system problems · Effectively engage global teams and experts to create and propose technology designs, standards, and solutions with high impact to business and/or its customers. This includes advising project teams during the Design Phase of major IT projects · Serve as the technical expert in critical central IT services areas · Proactively monitor business needs and translate into technology application opportunities · Evaluate emerging technologies for applicability to business · Drive operational efficiency within CIS · Continuously strengthen own technical expertise · Teach and mentor others to develop their own technical expertise

Qualifications/Requirements
· Minimum of 2 years of experience delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide, web applications -- specifically in managing multi-generational application development projects· Minimum of 2 years of hands-on IT experience with J2EE, JavaScript, AJAX or PHP or other web development technologies · Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with Oracle or MySQL and SQL, PLSQL· Minimum of 1 year of hands on experience with XML, HTML or XSLT DHTML, DOM, XHTML · Minimum of 2 years hands on experience with Apache, Tomcat or Linux or Windows ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:·Be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act·Willing to work out of an office in Visteon Village, Wayne County, Van Buren Township (near Ann Arbor / Detroit)

· BS in Computer Science, Computer engineering or other technical discipline.
