The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, validating and documenting customer (internal and external) requirements for software interfaces, business continuity, and other information technology operational initiatives.
1. Define software interfaces by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
2. Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
3. Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements.
4. Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
5. Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
6. Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats

Technical Requirements:
1. Minimum four years experience in Business or IT related field
2. Four year Business or IT related degree
3. 2-3 years experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting customer requirements for software interfaces
4. Knowledge of project management concepts and how enterprise software products are positioned and developed
5. 2+ years medical laboratory systems experience
