Basic Job Purpose: Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Develops or modifies moderately complex information systems.
Essential Functions: 1) Analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, business rule and scenarios, user interface documents, and user guides for systems changes and enhancements. 2) Acts as liaison between clients, operations and technical staff. 3) Gathers information and performs research and analysis. 4) Identification of test scenarios and the development of test scripts for system changes. 5) Conducts testing to certify changes to the system. 6) Performs morning and evening system production procedures. 7) Documents system production procedures. 8) Performs help desk support activities; answers client phone calls/e-mail; sends e-mail notification to clients regarding system problems, changes, enhancements, or maintenance; setup of new clients on products. 9) Serves as project lead for medium or large size projects. 10) Trains clients and operations on new system features and capabilities. 11) Mentors other Business Analysts on processes, techniques and system knowledge.
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science and/or commensurate experience.
Experience: 3 to 5 years experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst from another industry or detailed working knowledge of several system functions. Good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet tools, SQL, HTML, Doc-To-Help, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet.

Physical Activities/Working Conditions: Travel required as needed.
