IT Business Analyst
About the Job
HDI is offering an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and analytical person to join our business analysis group. The business analyst will be expected to elicit and gather requirements for new development, enhancements to existing development and where applicable defect resolution. The candidate will be expected to successfully interact with business owners other end-users of the system(s). They will be responsible for overseeing multiple concurrent projects through completion and ensure timeliness of the end product. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development and SQL programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Elicit requirements using interviews, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, workflow analysis and other methodologies
* Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
* Proactively identify business opportunities and business processes needing improvement
* Communicate and collaborate with business owners and end-users to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Business and Functional Requirements, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, and Test Cases
* Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of management
* Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
* Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
* Act as liaison between the business units and technology teams
* Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
* .NET development and SQL experience preferred
* Healthcare and claim data processing experience desired
JOB LOCATION
Las Vegas, NV (must be willing to relocate immediately)
