IT Business Analyst

Description:
Under the general direction, you will be responsible for formulating and defining system scope for effective business applications within the defined environment. You will work with customers to prepare detailed specifications from which the application will be constructed. You will also analyze business-related issues to formulate and develop new or modified solutions. In addition, you will need to develop functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and security requirements.

This position is a key contributor or project lead on major projects involving, multi-functional and/or multi-site personnel. Given that, you will implement project requirements through purchased software and/or internally developed software solutions to meet customer requirements, assist customer in defining work processes and system requirements and, identify areas were systems solutions will meet the customer needs. Lastly, you will develop and maintain currency in appropriate competencies to ensure effective application to project objectives.

Qualifications:
Bachelors in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or related experience.

At least 3 years of Business Analyst experience including significant experience in large to medium size projects.

Must have 2-5 years of experience with Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint (Microsoft Office SharePoint Services - MOSS, not Windows SharePoint Services - WSS) software.

Strong SQL skills, especially in writing SQL scripts and querying relational databases.

Must possess clear written and verbal communication skills as well as organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.
