Position Description:
This function works in the business analysis phase of the system development cycle and consults with users to define business processes and the information systems for supporting those processes.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Senior Business Analyst for UnitedHealth Groups Request Management team

  • Become a subject matter expert on UnitedHealth Groups service request processes and tools

  • Based on fact-finding and stakeholder/user input, define and implement both systems and business process solutions to promote efficient work flows

  • Perform analysis of alternatives, provide recommendations, and generate innovative ideas to resolve problems

  • Manage efforts related to Request Management systems initiatives (Service Request Center, At Your Service, etc.) as required

  • Coach and mentor Business Analysts and Quality Assurance Analysts on the team

  • Provide leadership for and engaging in quality assurance activities, as appropriate

  • Present functionality and other key requirements and design information to the stakeholder community

  • Handle complex issues and discrepancies of opinion among stakeholders to negotiate resolution and priorities

  • Resource to senior leadership

  • Develop pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends


Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience doing business process / workflow analysis and design

  • 2+ years experience documenting use cases

  • 2+ years experience documenting business requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Assets:
  • Experience with work intake processes and tools

  • Knowledge of work flow tools / engines

  • Experience with web forms and design

  • Experience with Visio, Word, and Excel
