IT Documentation Specialist - Part-Time
About the Job
Title: IT Documentation Specialist - Part-Time
Location: Reston, VA
***Must be a U.S. Citizen***
Scope of Work:
• Provide or coordinate documentation services by gathering, analyzing, and composing technical information
• Generate a plan to evolve from the As-Is to the To-Be documentation required to determine, develop, maintain, operate, update, and support an IT portfolio
• Provide documentation support for the team’s efforts including: assisting with creating work product templates; capturing information from interviews, meetings, etc.; and centrally storing and maintaining work products in the Cyber Security Asset Management (CSAM) system
• Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
• Support all types of documents and reports by developing and updating graphics presentations to improve the quality and enhance the usability
• Compose, edit, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of technical documents including System Security Plans (SSP), ST&E Plans, and Residual Risk Reports (RRR), and Information Assurance (IA) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation, or any other customer deliverables and documents
• Conduct research to ensure the use of proper technical terminology
• Recommend enhancements to improve overall workflow efficiencies and effectiveness
• Work with customers to establish and maintain excellent working relationships, resolve issues, and promote team services and capabilities
Required Skills:
-4 years of work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
• Commitment to excellence and high standards with attention to detail and consistency
• Command of the English language
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, developers, and subject matter experts
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Required Education / Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, information assurance, information systems management, or related discipline
Desired Skills and Experience:
• 1 year supporting C&A for the Federal government with direct full time experience in at least one of the following areas:
o Understanding the Purpose of Certification
o Initiation of the System Authorization Process
o Certification Phase
o Accreditation Phase
o Continuous Monitoring Phase
• Working knowledge of the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 series of Special Publications (SP), and Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)
• Working knowledge of the Federal Cyber Security Asset Management (CSAM) system
