Job Description:

The IT Engineer has a passion for owning the environment; and we will empower you to do so.  You will be primarily responsible for supporting a production network infrastructure, with a heterogeneous environment made up of Cisco and Juniper gear, Open Source Applications i.e., Linux, Redmine, Subversion, MySQL, Lucene, Nagios, Cacti, JBoss, Tomcat 5, 6, RedHat Enterprise Linux 3, 4, CentOS 4, Apache 1.3 along with and including virtualization administration (VMWare ESX).  This work will include network design, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting and will involve working with internal and external customers and vendors internationally.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years experience in a hands-on operational environment
• Extensive knowledge in router configuration and operations.  (Cisco and Juniper)
• Thorough understanding of Networking and Routing Protocols
• Expertise with VLANs, VPNs, SSL and data encryption.
• Knowledge of VoIP networks and QoS principles.
• Proven ability to design and install end-user network systems, including hardware selection, software selection, and integration.
• Ability to work flexible hours, having a positive attitude, and possess strong customer service skills.
• Highly motivated, self-sufficient, and able to work well independently.
• Ability to document and communicate concepts and ideas to Executive Team
• Strong project management skills with capability to develop and manage project plans preferred
