IT Installers are needed to perform tasks such as taking an inventory of equipment shipped, removing the old workstation and replacing it with a new workstation and peripherals, updating the inventory web site and shipping back the old equipment per the procedures written by the customer. Installers need to have a basic understanding of networking and must have standard workstation installation skills, broad Windows OS, NT/2000/XP knowledge, experience in loading software and customization. Installers need to be flexible and willing to make adjustments to fluctuating workloads and priorities. Installers must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and have the ability to lift and move many large and small boxes. The ability to read, understand, follow, and strictly adhere to detailed step-by-step procedures/instructions is required. Candidates for the Installer position must be detailed & organized, personable, have good customer skills, oral communication, and possess a high attention to detail.
Installers will travel to various national insurance agency offices located in Grand Rapids, MN and surrounding areas for approximately 3-5 months. A paid, mandatory, two-day training session will take place in Central Illinois. The installer will need to travel to Bloomington on Wednesday prior to training. Actual travel time up to 8 hours will be paid for each travel day. The installer will travel home either Friday night or Saturday morning. Training will be very extensive and may be two full days requiring long hours in addition to the travel time.
An Average of 4 – full day installations will be performed each week. The two-weeks of work after training are considered the Learning Curve where the customer will only schedule two full day installations to be completed. Installers must provide their own reliable transportation, proof of valid driver's license, and auto insurance is also required. Mileage will be reimbursed at $0.38 per mile. Installers must be able to pay for travel expenses up front, which will be reimbursed weekly, according to project guidelines.
Guarantee 30 hour work week.
Base pay of $10.00 per hour.
Installs could be 8 hours, 12 hours, 16 hours and 24 hours. Installs are only performed during the open business hours of the agent (i.e. 8:00am-5:00pm).
For each successfully completed install the bonus structure is as follows:
8 hour install bonus - $70, 12 hour install bonus - $105, 16 hour install bonus - $140, 24 hour install bonus - $210
Installers may also be eligible for a completion bonus and excellence bonus if all project criteria are met.
