Job Description:
Manage IT personnel and support staff at variety of different locations and contract sites. Manage the maintenance of computing environments at multiple client locations by monitoring system performance; identifying system deficiencies; troubleshooting and taking corrective measures; installing upgrades; and maintaining infrastructure integrity. Manage on-going and future need projects for selected clients, including proposal and business development tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide direct customer support for issues across a wide range of products and technologies. Function as the customer’s single point-of contact for problem identification and resolution as required. Communicate with all parties in a constructive manner to guarantee customer expectations are met. Maintain awareness of all outstanding customer pre and post-delivery issues and provide status to clients as necessary. Performs customer follow-up to verify final resolution and determine satisfaction level. Manage company staff and vendors toward completion of established projects. Interface with appropriate technical personnel for customer problems that cannot be resolved effectively over the telephone. Record, track and document all incidents while maintaining accountability and ownership until resolved. Provide accurate reports and metrics to company management on status and budget of on-going projects and contracts.
Job Requirements:
Applicant must have experience managing a highly technical staff in a variety of operating environments. Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 (IIS, IAS, DNS, DHCP) platforms, Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003/2007, Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005, Cisco Routers/PIXs/ASAs/Catalyst switches, LAN administration and general end-user support and training. Additional experience includes: PCs, peripherals, Microsoft Office Suite 2000/2003/2007, Symantec AntiVirus Corporate, Symantec Backup Exec, Blackberry Enterprise Server. Additionally, applicant should proactively maintain technical proficiency by participating in educational opportunities; staying up-to-date with current IT technology by reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks.
Associate’s degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science or comparable experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Applicant must possess a minimum of 4 years managing personnel and projects in an IT or technical field. A minimum of 6 years in network administration and desktop support.
