Responsibilities: Manage the development, establishment, facilitation, and maintenance of the IT Governance program’s company-wide framework to facilitate global IT controllership and compliance:
§ Collaborate with stakeholders representing different IT risk domains to develop the IT Governance program;
o Coordinate and conduct all governance meetings,
o Assist in the definition and validation of risks/scope for governance processes;
o Document minutes of governance meetings; manage action items;
o Publish/promote governance documentation to appropriate repositories
o Facilitate and obtain sign-off for IT Governance documentation (i.e., processes, control framework, etc.)
§ Review/provide feedback on governance processes, control framework, policies and procedures, and overall operating model;
§ Manage the definition and implementation of new governance processes;
§ Oversee the development and implementation of appropriate compliance policies and procedures;
§ Identify gaps in the design and operating effectiveness of controls, and identify opportunities for more efficient and effective controls
§ Maintaining IT governance knowledge bases and company-wide governance framework for all of IT;
§ Produce IT governance scorecards and dashboards measuring the business compliance with standards and effectiveness of controls;
§ Deliver business training and assist end users of the global framework;
§ Provide expertise and oversight upon IT Audit, IT testing and IT compliance and regulatory documentation;
§ Manage and direct activities of third party providers assisting in the development/maintenance of the IT Governance program;
§ Create and maintain work plans, resource plans, and project scorecards;
Qualifications:
· 4+ years of direct experience with IT governance and project management within the Commercial Insurance Industry;
· Experience working with information management to include IT governance, IT project management, developing and maintaining IT policies and processes;
· In depth knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT and/or ITIL;
· Strong understanding of system development lifecycle (SDLC);
· Experience working in organizations with geographically dispersed teams and complex environments;
· Strong process and analysis background;
· Exceptional planning and project management skills;
· Exceptional written/verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing;
· Ability to work collaboratively with others at all levels;
Preferred:
· Commercial insurance experience with focus on Commercial Property, Professional Liability, Casualty and Healthcare businesses;
· Understanding of the fundamentals of insurance operations, distribution and commercial policy life-cycle;
