IT (Information Technology) Program Manager (PM) - DC 20002

Description:
This opening is for a senior functional manager on the Lockheed Martin ITS Program supporting the U.S. Mint. The ITS Program provides all aspects of IT services to the U.S. Mint customer to include Help Desk, NOC/SOC, Telecommunications, Project Management, and Custom Application development and support. The client base consists of 1,200 customers with 800 located at headquarters in Washington, D.C. and the remaining 400 customers at the four regional offices (Denver, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and West Point).

The Seat Manager is responsible for managing the Help Desk, Desktop, Specialty Equipment, Performance Metrics (e.g., SLAs), and technology refresh for all U.S. Mint locations. This manager will also serve as the liaison between Seat Management functional areas and US Mint management as well as manage special and ad-hoc projects and initiatives (as applicable).


Responsibilities Include:

 Senior leadership role on the U.S. Mint Program
 Managing Tier 1, Tier 2 teams led by the Help Desk Manager
 Managing 10 staff members assigned to support four US Mint regional offices
 Providing customer interactions and communications
 Preparing and delivering effective program and project status briefings to key senior customers and LM executive staff
 Developing and executing program wide communication and incident response plans.
 Leading large scale special projects such as replacement of all client end user workstations
 Overseeing of all back office Desktop Engineering functions
 Overseeing the data gathering, calculations, and achievement of Seat Management SLAs.
 Managing the creation and updates of US Mint standard images.
 Enhancing self-help services and customer satisfaction through the life of the contract.
 Verifying the receipt, distribution, and documentation of US Mint assets distributed, stored, and removed within in the Help Desk’s possession.

Qualifications:
5 years of IT Project or Program Management experience in areas of Seat Management,
Help Desk Management, and/or Desktop Engineering.

ITIL Foundations V3 certified or able to obtain 60 days after hire
Active PMP certification or able to obtain 60 days after hire

Proven track recording of building, re-building, and leading effective support organizations.

Effective management of help desk ticketing systems (HEAT or Remedy) and incident categorization approach

Understanding of typical IT support oriented service level agreements and how to achieve SLA results

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing activities in a fast passed operational environment

Excellent written and oral communications and interactions with customers and staff
