We are currently seeking an IT Project Management Office Leader. This position will lead the Information Technology Department in championing the use of progressive best practices for Project/Program Management, Portfolio Governance, and Resource Management that will ensure the rapid delivery of high ROI, high quality IT solutions. Processes must be flexible and transparent to accommodate various business constituents while ensuring dependable delivery.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Solution Delivery Process Management:
- Manages and continually evolves the solution delivery lifecycle to encompass multiple methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile) and includes all processes and deliverables necessary to engage clients and deliver technology solutions.
- Design and coordinate on-going coaching and training program on the application of the solution delivery lifecycle and Project Management Office (PMO) policies and procedures.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of the project management toolset to ensure consistent, predictable delivery of solution from IT.
- Manage an effective IT project intake and estimating process for new work activity.
- Create a library of project deliverables and a data set of actual resource consumption to be used as the baseline in creating estimates for proposed projects.
Portfolio Governance:
- Manage the IT portfolio, communicate health and status within IT and across the firm. Ensure communication meets client expectations and provides transparency to IT activities.
- Manage and evolve the existing portfolio management processes for both internal IT driven and strategic business initiatives.
- Maintain a centralized project repository that provides real-time data for prioritization and alignment.
- Design and maintain key metrics for internal and external reporting that assesses department and project performance.
- Facilitate governance meetings for prioritizing IT projects. Create reports and present key metrics that enable effective decision making.
Resource Management:
- Provide visibility to where and how resources are allocated to optimize utilization for highest ROI.
- Maintain information on resource allocation/consumption and provide metrics for decision making.
- Manage the time allocation and tracking system and processes.
General:
- The success of the candidate in this role will be based on the ability to improve the consistency and quality of project delivery at CEB.
- Candidate will own IT project portfolio communications to business as well as IT stakeholders creating greater awareness of status and appreciation for process.
- Charter and facilitate portfolio review meetings in IT and with business stakeholders.
- Participate in expense and budget management.
- Charter and facilitate resource allocation meetings.
- Maintain compliance with all standards, internal controls, policies and practices as an active participant in internal audit and risk assessments.
A successful candidate will possess:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- PMP Certification.
- 7-10 years of progressive project and portfolio management experience.
- Proven record of successful project methodology design and deployment to an organization.
- Experience working in/with a PMO in developing best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Practical experience with managing multiple projects using formal project lifestyle methodologies in fast paced environments.

- Strong attention to detail while maintaining an overall strategic perspective.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain high productivity in a fast paced environment using effective prioritization skills.

- Effective problem solving and analytical skills.
- Thorough understanding of PMBOK disciplines.
- Ability to multitask using strong organization techniques.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile development methods.
Desired Requirements:
- Experience with industry frameworks such as CMMi and ITIL.
- Experience with quality processes such as Six Sigma, Lean.
- Business knowledge of information services industry.
